"Once a Day" defines the Web as a landscape, mapped through a prism of concepts associated with stylized violence. Automated searches are conducted daily for the following concepts (listed below) and the results are sent back to my email inbox.

I create Web collages from the raw material of each day’s Google News Alert results. The images, text and video are appropriated from the Web sites and come together to form a narrative for that day. Each element makes reference to one of the concept searches. There are no limits to what mesmerizes, irritates, inspires and contradicts. I am interested in seeing how, over time, a complex story will emerge.
